Trivandrum: Mascot Hotel, the premium heritage property of the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) in the capital city, is organising ‘Puttopia, a puttu festival at their Sayahna Garden Restaurant from April 21, 2018.
According to a press note from KTDC, thirty varieties of puttu accompanied by vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries will be served at the ‘Puttopia,’ a food festival, which will be held from 5 to 11 pm. Some of the delicacies on offer are the Panchavarna puttu, Biryani puttu, Arabi puttu, Navarasa puttu, Egg puttu, Beef puttu, Chicken puttu, Kothu puttu (chicken and egg), Chicken tikka masala puttu, Squid puttu, Prawns puttu, and Paneer puttu. For the adventurous, there will be Chocolate puttu, Strawberry puttu, and Chocolate & Strawberry puttu to try out.
The curries that would go as accompaniments with the puttu are kadala curry, kozhy chuttathu, veg mappas, beef peralan, aduthengakothu kurumulagu masala, meen mulagittathu, duck mappas, chemmen theeyal, and chicken kilikkoodu. Payar, pappadum, and chukku kappi will also be served. There will be desserts such ‘neyyil vazhattiya pazham’ with vanilla ice cream and payasam.
Lucky draws will be held during the festival and winners will get a 2-night/3-day stay at KTDC resorts on a complimentary basis.
Sayahna, located in the lush green environs of Mascot Hotel, has been re-positioned as an ideal garden restaurant where families can spend their evening. The Puttopia puttu festival would conclude on April 29.
